Preti's story of finding paintings

He died a sad death in the 17th century.

Then his name faded into oblivion. It was over a hundred years.

Preti first saw one of his paintings as a student in an art-history class.

It was very different from most of the Dutch styles of the time.

Curiosity and love of serenity led Preti to fall in love with Johannes Vermeer.

At this point, we also set foot on the path of tracing the painter's life.

One winter a few years ago, Preti went to Delft, where the painter had never left his home. Quiet little town, leaning on the railing of the canal.

Close your eyes and let your mind travel back hundreds of years, dwelling on each painting on the artist's work.

How can the characters always be so delicate and elegant? The symbols in the works always make me feel that I am interpreting the clues that the painter wants to leave behind. Across time and space, the inner attempt of dialogue.

How can you paint such a quiet space in a home with 11 children?

What was the reason for his early death at such a young age?

We went to Hague to follow the painting Girl with a Pearl Earring. She is so special.

# PretiJewelry has also created a piece of jewelry for the painting.

Standing in front of the painting, gazing at the mysterious interconnection.

Appreciate her from different angles. After all, what are the psychedelic eyes of young girls saying?

Not only the huge pearl earrings, but also the bright lapis blue of the headscarf.

Is she the painter's daughter? Or...

Then the first thing you do when you get to the Rijksmuseum is run to "Woman Reading a Letter.

The soft color scheme, the iconic window side of the picture, the time when the woman reads the letter seems to be frozen.

In the background of the carefully drawn map, the woman's blue dress appears particularly bright.

Whose letter had made her so calm? The elegant face was so absorbed.

That the end of the story of Preti's quest for paintings.

The obsession with Vermeer doesn't stop there.

After a long period of 150 years in oblivion, the painter's work was brought back to public view thanks to an article by an art critic.

How did he spend his mysterious life?

Let's look forward to Preti's next art article.

To be continued.
