It’s really my great pleasure to have chance to visit “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci in Milan in 2015.

Unlike the other museum, we need to book the ticket online one month in advance for the entry ticket for this particular museum. And there were only 15 people were allow to enter the hall at one time, I wonder what have been through for this spectacular heritage master piece, what’s the secret behind that require such prudent rule.

After went through three-glass door, as known to protect the art piece with consistence temperature. Finally I was standing in front of the masterpiece – “The Last Supper”, it was really amazing and impressive that words cannot describe my thought, the art piece was huge that covers the whole wall. Back in 16 century’s, Leonardo de Vinci was commissioned by the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Maria Sforza to create an art piece in the Santa Maria delle Grazie. The art piece was showcasing the scene of “TLS” of Jesus with the twelve apostles before being arrested by Roman soldiers.

Leonardo da Vince us the perspective technique, the composition were perfect and rigorous that Jesus was located in the center of the paint, the linear of the ceiling and table were gather in the point right on top of Jesus’, the spacious and mysterious from the paint made my though and interpretation to this art work become unlimited.

The twelve apostles were divided into four groups, each one of them lean ne another closely, and we could see from the left to right were segmenting the four seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. An Italian musician found out that the breads on the paints could became the music notes that can really play as a melody, this was something only can made come such a genius.

I feel like Leonardo da Vinci was a people went through the past from 21st Century, a lot of secrets and notes always been hidden in his art pieces and maybe only can feel with our heart what this was supposed to be when we stand in front of his art pieces. Although the truth and fact could never been found out but at least our heart were with him.

At last I still cannot find the track of the Holy Grail, I wonder if LdV hid it? Wanna know more about the secret we found? Stay tuned at Preti Gallery!
